Fruugo Offering 5 Tickets To SIME
Fruugo, the mysterious Finnish startup, has approached us with 5 SIME HKI tickets that will be given out to Finnish startups (1 per startup). We have written about SIME previously as well.
However, this time – there’s no big catch to these tickets. All you have to do is be a Finnish entrepreneur and explain in a few sentences in the comments why you’d deserve these tickets – you’ll have time until 6PM EET today Monday 15th September 6pm EET Friday 12th September 10 EET. We’ll draw out 5 companies with the best explanations and send your details to Fruugo (so make sure your contact details are correct in the comments).
The simple message from Fruugo is that they want to support the start-up scene in Finland by providing access to 5 start-ups to the most interesting event in Helsinki.

Why do I deserve a ticket? I need all teh help I can get to convince myself to stop playing it safe and stop supressing the entrepreneur in me.

We want a ticket for MahShelf to SIME HKI and keep in touch with the growing entrepreneurial environment of Finland.
We are building up MahShelf.com, a site similar to YouTube, but for comics. We aim to make a platform where every digital comics, manga and graphic novels can be published and distributed worldwide at the most attractive price. Our strength is the light-weight and easy-use applications, which makes it 2-3 times faster for users to read digital comics online. With MahShelf, everyone can enjoy reading hundred of pages of comics in full-screen mode and share easily with embeddable Flash widget, just like how people would enjoy watching clips on YouTube and other video streaming services. We have launched our site with full feature 2 months ago. And now we have a user base of more than 5000 users. Over 60 thousands unique visitors have come to our site and more than 400 thousands books have been read.

I’m running little bit late, since it’s allready over 7pm, but I’ll try anyway…
We at Orxter would be really interested to get one free ticket to SIME Helsinki because the event would be a great place to network with lots of people. We are getting our site slowly ready so we would need all the contacts and feedback we can get.

Well, i am running really late with this one, but hey, what the heck :)
If you haven’t already handed out all the tickets we at the Rohea office would really appreciate one. At the moment we are developing (and really soon launching) a new service, so it wouldn’t hurt to get to know a couple of new nice guys and gals. And as it is, we have done less than our share of networking and mingling, so i think this would be a good chance to fix that.
