Kauppalehti reports that according financial data published into the government files, the price Sulake paid for the acquisition of IRC-Galleria a while back is 12,5 million euros. The company behind IRC-Galleria is Dynamoid, where the Finnish serial entrepreneur Taneli Tikka has also gathered some experience.
The price was 6,6 times their annual revenue which at that time was 1,89 million euros and 25 times their earnings of 500 000 euros.

I feel rather obligated to comment on this, since I negotiated that deal. The information dug up by Kauppalehti is: 1) technically correct, but 2) not the whole Big Picture.
I will be commenting this later in my http://tane.li -blog once I get the damn domain transfered.. (some obstacles along the way).
And the real question is: how much is that stock worth now? ;-)
If you were to take the Silicon Alley Insider SAI 25 valuation for Sulake from a while back (1.25 billion USD), the stock would be worth… about 50 million. More on this will follow in my blarg.

oh, I forgot to mention that: the revenue+earnings figures there are not pro forma figures and don’t quite compare to the current accounting methods. More details to follow..

Thanks Taneli for the corrections. Will be waiting for your blog to launch :)

Sulake executed an awesome deal here. Without a doubt its best ever negotiation in swapping HABBO stock for innovative IRC Galleria ownership. The small “off the record” bar tab the Sulake Board paid the IRC Gurus while negotiating the close was clearly worth the deal since IRC is the only profitable part of Sulake.
