Sony has officially stated on their Playstation blog that Angry Birds will be launched for the Playstation 3 and PSP this week. We've previously published stories on Angry Birds being made available for other platforms such as Facebook and consoles. This week, however, Sony will launch Angry Birds for the PS3 and PSP as a Playstation Mini game.
Gamers will be able to download the game for both their PS3 and PSP consoles sometime this week. There was no mention of the pricing, which will naturally play a crucial role in Angry Birds' success as people on other platforms are used to paying about one US dollar or 79 euro cents for the game.
The Playstation mini game will feature 63 levels, which is far below the 210 levels as quoted by CrunchGear.
Back in November we also wrote that Rovio is working towards a Facebook game. It's unclear if there will be more social features included in the game or if it will take advantage of the platform for viral purposes only. However, as Angry Birds is bringing out its Playstation mini game this soon, I'm guessing we'll be seeing a Facebook game in a few months' time.
