Your Window To Danish Entrepreneurship

Venture Cup has been doing a great deal to help entrepreneurship in the Nordics: competitions, events, mentoring. Their latest project - Venturecup.tv - is perhaps the greatest resource for and by Danish entrepreneurs. The concept itself has been around for a while: the first few videos about Cleantech start-ups appeared on Venturecup.tv's blog more than a year ago. However, the platform today appears as a fresh take on entrepreneurial story-telling. Venturecup.tv offers short and catchy videos (in English) about Danish start-ups and entrepreneurs, including latest trends and useful advice from experienced people in the field.

Apart from being a useful resource for the local start-up scene, Venturecup.tv is a farmidable window to Danish entrepreneurship for the rest of the world. Given the lack of other local media channels dedicated to Danish start-ups and entrepreneurs, Venturecup.tv has a definite gap to fill.

And it's doing a good job while at it. Bite-sized videos feature interviews and commentaries that are useful yet fun to watch. It's the kind of content one cannot find from mainstream news, individual blogs or social media. It is also the kind of content that makes sense only when gathered on one platform, under a defined topic and serving a certain cause. Since Venture Cup is solely dedicated to start-ups and entrepreneurship, it is only logical for it to feature a news channel like that.

While some of the video content dates at least a year back, more recent videos are being uploaded every week. For example, one of the most recent videos features a tour around Founder's House, an new invite-only co-working space in Copenhagen (Check our earlier post about Founder's House) . Being able to offer that kind of compelling sneak-peaks into the Danish start-up life is Venturecup.tv's biggest value.

A tour of Founder's House.
