Startups: Deadline For Arctic15 VC Meetings End Of This Month!
Startups, we're closing the signups to the VC matchmaking event, held on Friday September 23rd, at the end of August. This is because we have to book the meetings with the VCs, many whom are flying in from overseas. Therefore we ask you to sign-up immediately, if you'd like to have the chance to meet international VCs coming to Arctic15.
The process for the matchmaking is such that as the deadline for the sign-ups closes, we will be sending the list of companies and their data to the VCs coming to the event. The VCs will then have a chance to pick up to 5 companies they'd like to meet on Friday and we'll do the arranging together with VC Zone Helsinki to make the face-to-face meetings a reality.
The VCs will pick the companies they'd like to meet by 9th of September. Right after this, we'll notify the companies who they'd like to meet so they can make the travel arrangements to the event. The meetings themselves will take place on Friday 23rd from 9am to 1pm at Innopoli 2.
To sum it up - please sign-up now, if you're thinking of meeting some VCs while in Helsinki. The meetings do not need to mean that you're looking for funding, but simply to build relationships to investors and demo your product.
Any more details about this part of the event or is it all about getting some blind-dates? :)
Damiansen - at the moment we'll be able to only tell the above. So from the startups point of view, it's about meeting VCs who want to hear more about you. So in a sense yes - it's a bit like blind dates :)

I might do a last reminder blog post about this tomorrow. Currently we have 7 confimed VCs and still looking to hear from 5-6 by tomorrow of their interest.
We won't be disclosing the real names of the VCs as we will give them the preference of choice in choosing the startups - otherwise it just won't work. We've already got tens of startups interested in this, so I suggest you sign-up and use your best copywriting skills in writing the application :)

So I´m only a middle man here and I would like to learn who efficient your VC event activities are by thinking about to do the same for an other region in Finland.
