This year, we are not going to be hosting Arctic15 because we are focusing heavily on a couple of other projects such as our Minimum Viable Office co-working space and also an upcoming, unannounced and very exciting new product. So that leaves us with a question, what are we going to do in October to meet a lot of cool startups, entrepreneurs and investors? After hosting the local Web Summit pub crawl, we decided that the Dublin Web Summit is the place to go, one reason for it is because Arctic15 and the Dublin Web Summit were on exactly the same dates last year and we just could not go. Another is that this event really does seem to stand-out in October and a lot of companies, startups and investors are going there.
Normally we concentrate on events in and around the region, but as we have been hearing more and more - you really need to get out there if you are running a modern and global company. Staying local just will not cut it. It is not just about going to a different country though, it is very much about meeting some pretty amazing people and speakers such as Dave McClure from 500 Startups, AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, Skype Founder Niklas Zennström, Google Ventures Partner Kevin Rose and more.
There will be over 600 startups and the ArcticStartup region seems to be well represented with companies such as The Eye Tribe, Swipes, Playmysong, mCASH, Tunaspot and others.
So with all of that, we have made the decision to check it out and we would love it if you joined us on our trip. We could even all get on the same flight and have a lot of fun while at it.
