Community powered web sites - May 8th, 2008

Get your calendars out and mark the evening of 8th of May reserved! We’re announcing a second Arctic Startup event sponsored by Mysites.com (the name’s without Open Coffee, but Ville’s still actively in the game!) in May, when the topic of the conversations will be social web applications.

The event will be held in panel mode and we will have 3 people from 3 different companies on stage discussing how being social has helped their companies and is it really needed nowadays just to survive?

We will be kicking off the panel at around 7pm, as the Technopolis Money Forum ends at 6pm and we want to let as many people from that event to make it to the center. The panel will take about an hour and we will have plenty of time for networking afterwards.

The entrepreneurs on the panel will be:

Floobs wil be streaming the event online throught their service, so you’ll be able to tune in as well if you happen to be out of town.

As we want to make the event as useful to as many of you as possible, let’s do some crowdsourcing. In the comments below, leave your comment on the topics we should cover in the discussion.

Update: A slight change in XIHA Ltd’s personnel for the panel - we’re having Jani Penttinen, one of the founders on the panel instead of Juhani.
