ArcticStartup will be travelling to Tampere to tap into the entrpreneurial buzz there we’ve heard so much of. The evening will be an interesting one wrapped around the theme of Networking and Pitching. More specifically, we’ll be discussing the different ways entrepreneurs can take advantage networking to grow their business. We’ll have some very practical advice from industry heavy weights and local entrepreneurs.

Venue

Our event in Tampere will be held in the Demola premises. Demola is an innovative concept built around entrepreneurship and the capitalisation of ideas. The venue is at Väinö Linnan aukio 15, 3rd floor.

The show will kick off at 6pm on 17th of November.

Programme

The evening will follow its theme closely. The event will kick off with three company pitches. If you’re a startup and would want to pitch your company at the event, read the Pitching -part below this one. After the three pitches, we’ll move into the panel.

On the panel, we’ll have industry heavy weights – below are their bios.

Jussi Harvela
Jussi Harvela has more than 20 years’ experience in running and managing high tech startups and corporations. He successfully transformed a small Finnish startup to an established global software company, from Finland to Cupertino, California.

Otto Chrons
Otto Chrons is an entrepreneur and technologist with 15 years of experience in software development, including the fields of security and graphics technology. Jack-of-all-trades in technology, with exceptional interest and adaptability to new things, his experience includes having grown a start-up to a medium-sized company, acquired by an international industry leader. He is a professional in both technology and business, and knows how to combine the two.

Heikki Halme
Heikki Halme has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of ICT. He has held various positions, most notably he grew Solita Oy from a one-man company to one of the major players in the Finnish IT service market. Currently he consults and invests in privately held companies.

Pitching

We’ll also have a pitching session before the panel. We’ll have three companies on stage for a brief 5 minute pitch of their company. These three lucky companies are, in random: There Corporation, Tagregator and Tribe Flame. Come to Tampere to meet with these companies and hear what they’re all about!

Signing up

As space at the venue is limited, we’ll be issueing a registration form for all those who want to attend the event. The tickets, like always, will be free. However, we ask you to only register if you are coming – we want to have as many people attend the event, so don’t hog the ticket if you’re unable to participate.
