AccelBit develops HomeBox, a desktop and mobile web service that provides easy-to-use communication and time-management tools for families.
The service is currently only in Finnish but will soon be translated to English.
During initial setup, service user creates a group, "HomeBox home", whose members can see the shared content created within the group.
Currently the service contains three tools: bulletin board, calendar and shopping list. All content entered to these tools are automatically shared to other home members.
Users can access the content via mobile web page with no need to install any application on the device. Also no password is required as the page is accessed via obscure URL.
Major differentiator between HomeBox and other similar services is the easy setup and simplicity of the service usage.
