This first kopi chat is with Eddy Lee on tomorrow's wearables.

Eddy Lee, PhD invests in early stage IT and health tech startups at Fenox Venture Capital, a Silicon Valley venture firm specializing in bridging startups between US and Asia. His interest lies in the intersection of health care and technology, and the acceleration of innovations from bench to market. A current focus is wearables and its supporting technology and applications. Wearables startups in his portfolio include Meta and Lark. At Stanford University School of Medicine, he guides the commercialization of health tech projects into viable businesses.

Prior to his current roles, he was a semiconductor design engineer at Marvell and Lucent. Eddy completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Stanford University, and holds a Ph.D in Bioengineering and a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering. He has authored scientific papers, technical articles and book chapters, and has been an invited reviewer of scientific journals. He currently lives in Silicon Valley with his family and travels to Southeast Asia regularly to support portfolio companies.
