We are looking for a data mining and business intelligence specialist to expand our competency in the area of extracting valuable information from our database of product reviews and product information.
The current focus area is information concerning quality of different aspects of product, broken down by categories, brands, time, countries, retailers etc. We are also interested in data mining and business intelligence tasks connected to our product database and analyzing our visitor patterns.
You will be working in a dedicated team using agile methods, building a product using natural language processing and data mining in combination with modern user interface techniques. The end result will help consumers make informed buying decisions, and manufacturers design products that meets and exceeds consumer expectations. We are mainly using open source to build our solutions and most programming is done in Python.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Design and build tools and technologies for mining data about review and products
* Present complex information in an way that is easy to understand
* Have an eye for quality so that information stays relevant and correct, from the extraction phase to the presentation
* Looking for new ways of mining interesting knowledge from our data
* Integrate data mining and analysis with the rest of our systems
Job Requirements
* Academic degree or equivalent
* 3+ years of working with data mining and business intelligence
* Good oral and written communication skills (English)
* Experience with data mining on high volume web data is a plus
