You are a skilled developer with documented experience of developing enterprise systems, preferably involving large data volumes and/or strict performance requirements. You're a quick learner, who enjoys learning new technologies and keeping yourself up-to-date with the various developments in the industry. You are comfortable with and interested in shared ownership of code, TDD, CI ,agile development, open source technologies, etc. You might already be a hard-core Python programmer, or you might be coming from a Java background and interested in leveraging your experience using new tools. As a person, you like to take responsibility and show initiative, and are comfortable in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment. You take an pragmatic approach to problem solving, but always maintain a strong focus on quality.
As senior developer, you will join a dynamic and fast-growing organization, and will be part of a newly founded team specializing in partner content delivery. You will work to improve the overall processes of collecting, presenting and distributing review data. You will be working in a creative environment, and will be able to influence both the development process and the end product. As part of your role, you will face interesting challenges in dealing with large data sets and low latency requirements. New development will be done primarily in Python, but you will also work with Java. Regardless of language, you will have the opportunity of working with exciting open source technologies.
Job Requirements
* An academic degree or equivalent
* 3+ years of development experience in an enterprise setting using either Java or Python
* Strong understanding of Internet-related protocols and technologies
* A passion for development
* Works well in a team environment and used to taking own initiatives
* Fluency in English
* Experience and interest of SCRUM and agile project development methods is a plus
Please note that our working language is English and it is NOT required that you speak Swedish.
The position is a full-time employment, located in our office at Gävlegatan in central Stockholm.
