The ideal candidate will have a passion for building great products. You’ll love working in a fast-paced environment, and championing ideas to make them a reality. Your strength is creating engaging and innovative user experiences. This role demands a blend of solid product/project management, with creativity and clear communication. You’ll be responsible for keeping the team moving, and ensuring what gets built is what customers want and what the business requires for continued success. Your contributions will have a big impact on the overall company’s performance.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Build and manage the website team.
* Own the product roadmap, gathering input from visitors, co-workers and other websites and turning ideas into great new features and customer experiences.
* Build thorough product requirements to guide the development team.
* Drive the team forward with clearly communicated deadlines, milestones and project plans.
Job Requirements
* 3-5 years product management in ecommerce, comparison shopping or online publishing. Skills in both product and project management are essential. Experience in Search Marketing, online advertising, web analytics and social media is a plus.
* A real passion for the internet: you’ve probably had your own web-site at some point and love discussing where the internet is headed.
* A good planner and well-organized – formal project management skills are welcomed. Candidates will be expected to juggle multiple assignments and resolve conflicting priorities.
* Experience in hiring, managing and motivating a great team
* A strong work ethic: committed, accountable and responsible. Thorough and detail-oriented.
* Flexible: able to deal with changes to priorities and constrained resources
* Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Able to work internationally and across departmental boundaries
* High energy and a good sense of humour.
* An academic degree or equivalent.
