Seeking skilled software developer to build prototype for web startup
Oak together with the founding team is building a high tech startup venture with a unique approach to social networking, building a mass market application to serve millions of users. We have the UI designs ready, and are seeking a talented and experienced coder to build the first working prototype of our product, and possibly join the founding team.
Requirements:
- Experience with building mash-ups using APIs, web scraping, etc.
- Solid knowledge of databases (e.g. LAMP stack) and data analysis
- Ability to design for sufficient software system performance taking into account data volume, update frequency, storage requirements, etc.
- Experience of working with textual data (with e.g. regex, PERL) preferable
- Experience of agile development methods
- Passion for solving complex problems at the cutting edge of technology
