GENERAL
MusicLogg is developing must-have-tools for musicians as a web service and mobile apps. We have the hardcore audio processing skills (2xPhD’s) and we’re looking for highly motivated people to complete our multilingual (FIN, SWE, ENG) team. Development is currently in stealth mode (closed alpha), and you’ll have a great chance to affect the end result. To fulfill our vision, we will collaborate with artists/teachers such as Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater, Mr. Fastfinger (Mika Tyyskä), Rockway.fi, Sibelius Academy etc. MusicLogg is one of the awarded groups from Aalto Venture Garage’s Summer of Startups 2011 and funded by Aalto ACE+Tekes. All the positions are on location in Otaniemi, Finland @ Aalto University. The positions may also be part-time, making it ideal, e.g., for student at Aalto University.
WEB-DEVELOPER
You’ll be doing:
- Take the web service from closed alpha, to beta, to pilot, and initial launch
- An interesting and concrete project with potentially tens/hundreds of thousands of users
- Quick user tests on prototypes and revise after feedback (repeat until good)
About you:
- You know the basics: PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and MySQL competence
- Framework knowledge (Code Igniter or other)
- Fluent in front- or back-end and able to produce code in both
- Desire to learn new things and develop your capabilities
- Initiative and scheduling skills
- Passionate about music, good code, and agile life
Also good:
- Playing an instrument at any skill level
Duration: 10 months or a long-term partnership in our startup
