Stardoll Reaches 150 Million Users

StardollStardoll, the Swedish paper doll site has reached 150 million registered users. The news was disclosed by Mattias Miksche, the CEO of the company in his twitter stream. We also caught the news in the official Stardoll news stream in the morning, but it has since disappeared. The site has definitely hit a nice growth trajectory. Back in March last year we reported the company counting down to 100 million users.

Saul Klein On What Companies In The Nordics Make More Than $10 Million Annually

Quora has become a great source of information for entrepreneurs, and pretty much anyone interested in a specific topic. In short, Quora is a well executed question and answer service that is currently in beta. WIth this, they've been able to choose who they want to let in while this in turn has helped them keep the quality of the answers very high. Another interesting aspect of the service that startups should take notice of, is the people they've managed to get on board. You can find lots of famous startup CEOs there answering questions and helping people understand more about their companies. Enough about Quora though. There was an interesting question in Quora regarding which Nordic companies make more than $10 million annually and Saul Klein had answered it. He answered a similar question about companies based in London that interested a lot of people, so it's definitely interesting to look into this as well.

HeiaHeia Logs One Million Exercises In Their First Year

HeiaHeia is one year old this December. In the last twelve months, they've also logged about one million exercises. Last night, they were 10 000 exercises short, but the staff expects this milestone to be crossed in a matter of days. While this doesn't naturally tell anything about their userbase, it's definitely somewhere in the tens of thousands.

Spotify Adds Millionth Member in Five Months

SpotifyAndres from Spotify writes on their blog that Spotify has reached one million registered members. Considering Spotify was launched last October, it can be said to have grown with incredible speed. On average, the service has grown by 200 000 members a month or about 6600 members a day.

Spotify has been a media favorite - including ours', but the users love the service as well despite some of the shortcomings. A true viral service. Nevertheless, Spotify is well on its way to reshaping the music industry. It has to be said that it is ironic - Spotify is reshaping the music industry based on the exact technology that is behind the most notorious filesharing site in the world The Pirate Bay (and they both come from Sweden!) that is being sued by the very same industry (among others).

Habbo registers 100 millionth member

Habbo Hotel has registered one hundred millonth member. The user account was created in the UK. M&M, a Finnish marketing and advertising medium, has also stated in their news that in the five and half months of this year about 20 million new characters were created (3,5+ million a month).

M&M also reports on business figures (well, proportional at least). Sulake's May 2008 is 20% bigger in terms of revenue than in May 2007. It is also said to be positive, making this year the first profitable one.
