Motivators And Inspirers

Networking and goal setting are important concepts for any aspiring entrepreneur. I thought I would share a couple of my favorite "coaches" or motivators. Some of you probably know either or both of them, but there is a good chance that many don't. Anyway, it also would also be interesting to hear who are the inspirers you appreciate.

The first one is Keith Ferrazzi, a small-town boy who made it to youngest partner and Chief Marketing Officer in a Fortune 500 at Deloitte Consulting, and lots more. Keith started his authorship with Never Eat Alone, an introduction into world building success through relationship building. His newest book is the #1 NY Times bestseller Who’s Got Your Back, which deepens the topic of actual building of relationships. Transformational Thursday

The other week I had the privilege to participate in Benjamin Zander's (homepage and bio) excellent presentation. Benjamin, or Ben, among other things is the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and has an extensive speaking career. He has, for example, appeared four times as a keynote speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos. What makes Ben's message so inspiring and original is the way he uses his background in classical music to reflect on the topics of leadership, strategic management, creativity, and positive thinking. He truly takes the audience on an extremely interactive journey through stories and music. And even though most of us are not that much into classical music, he certainly is able to light a spark thereto.

Motivational Monday

I wanted to take a different approach to start your week this Monday. Being an entrepreneur is considered sexy by many, but very few people realise the amount of energy and work entrepreneurs invest in their ventures on a day-to-day basis. Working for minimal pay, with extremely high risk of failure while aiming for that nonexistent chance of success and making a dent to the way we live our lives - it's not easy. Sometimes a little push is needed and here's my two cents for that motivation.

Your work is important - keep at it, stay hungry, stay foolish and start your day by watching the legendary Al Pacino's inspirational speech in Any Given Sunday.
